In 2004, I founded "Simone Helle & the 6th sense". Today, the versatility of the Band is exhibited in its own profile, augmented by the compositions of Simone Helle. Thus "Simone Helle & the 6th sense" have evolved further to greater musical originality with regard to content.

Together with Niclas Floer on the piano, Caspar van Meel on the bass and Boris Becker on the drums and percussion we showed a mixture of dynamic mainstream.
studied classical piano with Rainer Klaas at the Dortmund conservatory and, after that,jazz piano with Andreas Lumpp.
Since 1992 he has made a name for himself as piano accompanist in Jazz, Chanson and in the field of pop music,
in numerous concerts with musicians like Cae Gaunt, Werner Hoffmann, Maegie Koreen or as a member of the Dorsten Big Band also abroad within Europe.
In 1998 there was a cooperation with the Hungarian Philharmonic Orchestra, together with whom he recorded the chart hit "Hijo de la luna". He completed international tours, among others, in 1993 in Argentina, Brasil and Paraguay with the "Laudate Quartett" and in the year 2000 with Werner Hoffmann on a tour throughout Peru.
Further international performances were in 1998, the performance of the opera "Brundibar" under the direction of Arley Reece in Atlanta (USA) as well as his participation in the "Montreux Jazzfestival" in 2000 with the formation "Just Gospel". Alongside his additional activities as choir master and theater-musik composer, he lectured in 2008 as guest lecturer in piano at the Wuppertal University. Since December 2008, Niclas Floer is a member of "Simone Helle and the 6th sense".
Caspar van Meel studied contrabass with John Goldsby (WDR Big Band) at the Folkwang Conservatory in Essen. He is an inherent part of the jazz scene in NRW and plays at concerts in Curacao, Norway, the Ukraine, Italy, Benelux and France. He has been involved in various broadcasting, television and CD productions (WDR, Radio Noordzee) and has performed at festivals like the North Sea Jazz, the Kurt Weill Festival and the WDR Jazz Night.
In 2008, he was among the finalists of the Dutch Jazz Competition as part of the Mike Reolofs Band and in 2009 he won the "Jazzwerkruhr" Award with the trio Trigonon.
In 2010, with the Caspar van Meel Quintett, he was among the finalists of the Future Sounds Competition at the Leverkuser Jazztage event.
Caspar van Meel has worked, among others, together with Phillip Catherine, Dieter Dieter Glawischnig, Mathias Nadolny, the WDR-Big Band, Rob Bruynen, Peter Herborn, Claudius Valk, Romy Camerun, Roger Haenschel, Ruud Breuls and Pablo Held.
Since September 2010 he has been working with Simone Helle as a member of "Simone Helle & the 6th sense".
